Don’t read this and think of how lovely it is to be able to relate to such amazing and formative adventures of a near past teenage generation. Everyone has this. You will have this too if you go outside and try to get in trouble once in a while. Take greater notice in how we went wrong, you will go wrong too, but I hope you always keep at least this in mind—you must be kind, it’s all too much for everyone, don’t make it harder on yourself or on others. Remember to keep yourself busy. You will discover drugs, some of which aren’t understood to be drugs for the easy deniability of the addict. Of course there will be marijuana, cocaine, and acid, these things come out of the dark pretty soon. There is of course caffeine, avoid pills, there will always be alcohol, perhaps the most dangerous in its acceptability, avoid research chemicals, I knew a few kids who did meth but I’ve never done it myself. Sex, which should definitely be avoided as long as you can because you will never be a child again, heroin, which will kill you. Don’t touch it.
Anyway, keep yourself busy with things that will make you a more interesting person, find an outlet and make it as regular as brushing your teeth. Piano players do well at parties, if you read a lot you’ll speak better and write better.
